HERE at CES 2016 Latest News CES 2016 Editor's Picks What HERE Does News and Updates

We’re #HEREatCES 2016

As the holiday season comes to an end and the taste of too much good food sadly starts to recede, what better way to lift our spirits and kick start 2016 than with the largest annual event in technology, CES. As with previous years, HERE is in attendance at Las Vegas to showcase its latest innovations.

The HERE 360 team is also fortunate enough to be at the show and will be covering industry news, as well as all the exciting updates from HERE and its partners, from Jaguar Land Rover to Volvo and QNX.

HERE is already making waves at the event, yesterday launching the first ever HD Live Map, the next step in automated driving, and featured in both NVIDIA and Volkswagen’s keynote presentations.

NVIDIA said, "We need to distil and refine the localization of where the vehicle is in both lanes. The HERE HD Maps help us draw these lanes perfectly: every vehicle that’s coming past us noticed by the LiDAR or by the cameras, refined and placed properly in their lanes."

Volkswagen said, "The new world will be defined by automated driving. The digital representation of the real world in real time will play a key role in this technology. Last months the VW group together with BMW and Daimler acquired HERE, a leading company in digital maps and location based services. That was a milestone on our way to automated driving".
