We've added some cool new features to HERE for Android, not least the ability to include a shortcut to your home on your phone's start screen. It adds up to an app that's faster and easier to use than before, and we've also tweaked the HERE for Android Beta version too. Read on to find out what's in store from the latest versions.
The latest version of HERE Maps for Android includes features previously only available on the HERE for Android Beta, including the ability to set your home location and sync it between here.com and the app itself.
As with the beta version, we’ve made it possible to add a home shortcut to your smartphone’s home screen, so getting back at the end of the night is literally only the tap of a button away.
We're also including support for the DIY bike navigation device we presented at Maker Faire in Rome last month, which mounts on your cycle’s handlebars, syncs with HERE for Android and offers up turn-by-turn navigation.
Features like this come about after being trialed by our beta testers, and from today we’re making it even easier for you to join the HERE Maps for Android Beta program.
