New transit coverage across the globe for Android, iOS and WP

We are pleased to announce we have established transit coverage for a number of new territories. But don’t worry, there’s no need to update your apps, this new data will be updated automatically.

Providing transit info in as many parts of the world as possible is a top priority for HERE. Whether it is the city you live in or an area you are visiting, millions of people need to use public transit and this can be an arduous task if you don’t have access to the right information.

We can now say, albeit rather smugly, we are the sole global providers of transit coverage in Victoria, southeastern Australia - the most populated state in the country - as well Grand Lyon in central eastern France and the city of Guadalajara in Mexico, We also now have the most detailed bus information in three cities across India: Bengaluru, Surat and Thanjavur.

We are also happy to say that we have added transit coverage for 11 more towns in the US, including the capital of Ohio, Columbus, and Memphis, Tennessee, the birthplace of the blues.

If you’re planning a sun-drenched holiday in the Med then it’s worth noting that we provide transit info in Palermo and Toscana in Italy. Funchal, the capital of Madeira, is also covered so you can relax with a glass or two of fortified wine in town without worrying about how to get home.

But we’re not only adding transit info for new cities and territories, we are also updating cities we already cover. For example, the new train line from downtown Helsinki to the airport.

If your area is not currently covered then get in touch and we will endeavour to bring transit info to your part of the world as soon as possible.
