During the 44th BMW BERLIN-MARATHON, HERE will enable participants and spectators to follow the runner's journey beyond the map to #mybeautifulrun. On September 24, 2017, while two compatriots from Kenya — one a 2016 Olympic champion, the other a world record holder — strive for victory, race participants will not only have a chance to run with the best in the world, a select few will also take part in HERE's live tracking experience.

The Berlin Marathon is one of the World Marathon Majors and, with over 1 million spectators along the course, continues to be among the largest and most popular events of its kind. Last year's 58,903 participants included runners, power walkers, inline skaters, handbikers and wheelchair racers from 122 countries.Screen Shot 2017-09-02 at 8.32.14 AM.png

HERE tracking

Since 2015, HERE has been a sponsor and technology partner of the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON. In addition to once again being the official map provider, HERE is giving selected runners the chance to share their experiences in #mybeautifulrun.

Those chosen will receive a Huawei 2 4G watch, loaded with our leading HERE positioning technology.  Throughout the marathon, runners and viewers will see live runner data being translated into stunning visualizations and displayed on a large screen between the 38.8 km mark and Leipziger Platz.

If you are ready to make your run beautiful and bring your running performance data — such as location, heart rate, pedometer — to life at the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON, fill out this form and let us know why you want to be part of the #mybeautifulrun live tracking experience.
