Today we’re happy to announce a global partnership that will make HERE the Official Map of Red Bull. The Red Bull Media House will now use HERE maps across all of its digital channels as part of the inspiring content it delivers to millions around the world.
Our maps can provide much more context to all the action-packed events Red Bull organises: you can understand where they’re taking place, their setting and (why not?) even how to get there. Red Bull has already started to integrate HERE maps into a range of websites.
For instance, you can see the tracks of all the Formula One grand-prix of this season, including last week’s German Grand Prix, which took place at the Hockenheimring near Hockenheim.
Or check out the fancy dropdown widget they use to show the next race in the season.
If you prefer two wheels over four, perhaps you enjoy watching the freestyle motocross motorbike stunt competitions of Red Bull X-Fighters. The finals are taking place in Pretoria, South Africa and it’s the first time the X-Fighter series touches the continent. The Union Buildings has become an iconic landmark of Pretoria and South Africa in general. It’s one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city, an emblem for democracy and houses the offices of the president of South Africa.
Even more thrilling is cliff diving and HERE brings you almost there with this map of La Salve Bridge in Bilbao, Spain, the next event of Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series 2014. It’s a very special event, placed in the heart the city, even for Cliff Diving standard. The bridge gained popularity when the Guggenheim Museum was built right under it, literally merging its structure into the museum’s.
And where culture meets urban art, there you can find Red Bull Flying Bach concerts, like these near the Chilean Andes.
But this isn’t everything. In fact, HERE and Red Bull Media House have already been working together on a number of events. In March and June we released two stunning CGI videos hosted by superstar drivers Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo. With HERE’s highly-detailed maps and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), viewers could easily locate the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria, and experience the difficulty of driving it. Using these mapping technologies together for the first time gave F1 fans an even closer look into the sport they love.
We look forward to partnering with Red Bull Media House. With the world’s freshest and most accurate maps users can find their way – either virtually or in person – easily to action packed Red Bull events around the world.
